INSIGHTS: INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF HUMANITIES, MANAGEMENT, AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
1. About the Journal

Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences (IIJHMSS) is a social sciences journal that addresses contemporary social issues through research drawn from management sciences and arts and humanities. Published biannually under the Global Heritage Research Center for Languages and Literature, IIJHMSS is a double-blind peer-reviewed and open-access platform that welcomes scholars, researchers, and practitioners from Pakistan and around the world.

IIJHMSS treats social sciences as a connecting framework—linking society, culture, institutions, and human behavior with the knowledge produced in management and humanities. The journal publishes interdisciplinary and discipline-based studies that explore how social realities shape (and are shaped by) organizations, leadership, education, public policy, communication, language, ethics, media, and cultural life. In this way, IIJHMSS highlights how management and humanities research becomes most meaningful when it is grounded in social contexts and human needs.

Through rigorous and ethical scholarship, IIJHMSS aims to strengthen theory, critical inquiry, and evidence-based understanding of social life. By encouraging comparative, cross-cultural, and methodologically sound work, the journal supports research that connects ideas with real-world challenges, contributes to academic debate, informs institutional and policy development, and advances knowledge for both regional and global communities.

12. Plagiarism Policy

Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences (IIJHMSS) is committed to academic integrity and enforces a strict plagiarism policy in accordance with the standards set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. This policy ensures the originality, authenticity, and academic credibility of all published work.

To maintain ethical research standards and promote genuine scholarly contributions, IIJHMSS applies the following plagiarism guidelines:

12.1 Turnitin Requirement

All submitted manuscripts must be accompanied by a Turnitin Similarity Report at the time of submission. The report must reflect the full manuscript, including all sections (abstract, introduction, methodology, discussion, references, etc.). Submissions without a Turnitin report will not be processed for review.

12.2 Overall Similarity Threshold

The total similarity index of any submitted manuscript must not exceed 19 percent. This threshold is set to ensure that the content presented is predominantly original and not excessively copied or borrowed from existing sources.

12.3 Single Source Limitation

No single source of information may contribute more than 4 percent to the overall similarity index. This limit helps to prevent dependency on one particular source and encourages a more comprehensive and diverse engagement with existing literature.

12.4 Cross-Checking Sources

To verify the authenticity of the content, all submissions are cross-checked using Turnitin against a broad database of academic materials. This includes published journals, books, theses, and conference proceedings. The goal is to identify any overlapping or duplicated content.

12.5 Consequence of Violation
  • Rejection: Submissions with a similarity index above 19 percent or with a single source contributing more than 4 percent may be rejected at the initial editorial stage.
  • Revision Request: Authors may be asked to revise and resubmit their work to meet the plagiarism criteria. Revisions must be supported by a new Turnitin report reflecting the updated similarity index.

The editorial office holds the right to request clarification or correction from the authors if the similarity report indicates any area of concern. IIJHMSS values transparency and ethical authorship and encourages all contributors to submit manuscripts that reflect their own scholarly efforts. Authors are responsible for ensuring proper citation and paraphrasing in accordance with academic writing standards. This plagiarism policy is designed to uphold the scholarly reputation of the journal and protect the integrity of the research it publishes. By submitting their work to Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences, authors acknowledge and agree to comply with this plagiarism policy in full.

15. Publication Fee

Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences (IIJHMSS), published by the Global Heritage Research Center for Languages and Literature, is devoted to promoting quality academic research through its open-access publishing model. This model ensures that all published articles are freely and permanently available to a global audience, without paywalls or access restrictions. The journal’s open-access commitment facilitates the rapid and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly work, benefiting both researchers and the broader academic community.

To sustain its operations and uphold high editorial standards, the journal relies on Article Publication Charges (APC). These charges support the essential costs associated with manuscript processing, including peer review coordination, editorial management, typesetting, digital archiving, indexing, and website maintenance. Furthermore, a portion of the APC compensates peer reviewers for their time and expertise, acknowledging their crucial role in maintaining the scholarly quality and integrity of the journal.

16. Financial Policy

IIJHMSS ensures equal publishing opportunities for scholars from all backgrounds by not requiring any fee at the time of submission. This approach removes economic barriers for authors during the initial stage of review and encourages submissions from a diverse range of researchers, regardless of financial status.

The Article Publication Charge (APC) is applicable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the double-blind peer review process and has been formally accepted for publication. This policy ensures that authors are charged only once they receive editorial services and a commitment to publication.

16.1 APC Structure
  • For National Authors (within Pakistan): PKR 15000
  • For International Authors: USD 50
16.2 Payment Instructions

After acceptance, the corresponding author will receive a formal invoice outlining the applicable APC. The invoice will include detailed instructions for payment, including available methods and bank details, to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Authors are encouraged to complete the payment promptly to avoid publication delays.

The APC model adopted by IIJHMSS is vital to sustaining open-access availability and operational excellence. By aligning financial responsibilities with post-acceptance services, the journal ensures fairness, academic quality, and the broad dissemination of knowledge on a global scale.
