Before submitting a manuscript to Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences (IIJHMSS), authors must ensure that their submission complies with the following requirements. Submissions that fail to meet these standards may be returned for revision before entering the peer-review process.

Originality

The manuscript must not have been previously published and must not currently be under review elsewhere. If there are any exceptions, they must be clearly explained in the “Comments to the Editor” section during submission.

File Format

The manuscript must be submitted in an editable format, such as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), OpenOffice, or Rich Text Format (RTF).

Reference URLs

Where applicable, URLs for references should be included to enhance source traceability and facilitate verification.

Formatting Consistency

The manuscript should be single-spaced and prepared in 12-point font, preferably Times New Roman. Italics should be used for emphasis, while underlining should be used only for URLs. Tables, figures, and images must be embedded within the manuscript at their appropriate positions rather than placed at the end of the document.

Style and Citation

The submission must comply with all formatting, stylistic, and bibliographic standards outlined in the journal’s Author Guidelines. Manuscripts that do not adhere to the APA (6th Edition) referencing style may be returned for correction.

Article Format and Style

All manuscripts must be formatted on A4-size paper with 1.15-inch margins on the left and right sides and 1.65-inch margins at the top and bottom. The manuscript must use Times New Roman throughout, with font-size variations as specified below.

Title
  • The title should be center-aligned, uppercase, bold, and 16-point in size.
  • The title should be concise and should not exceed 22 words.
  • Avoid mathematical formulas, abbreviations, acronyms, or technical jargon that may obscure the clarity of the research focus.
Author(s) Details

Author information should be center-aligned and presented in 10-point font directly below the title. The information should be provided in the following sequence:

  • Full Name
  • Academic or Professional Affiliation (Designation and Institution Name)
  • Email Address (in italics)
Abstract
  • An abstract is mandatory and should be approximately 300 words in 12-point font.
  • It should concisely present the research problem, methodology, main findings, and significance of the study.
  • The abstract must not contain citations or references.
Keywords
  • Authors must provide a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 keywords.
  • Keywords must be italicized, arranged in alphabetical order, separated by commas, and followed by a period.
Manuscript Text
  • The main body of the manuscript should be typed in 12-point font with single-line spacing.
  • Paragraph spacing should be set to 0 points before and 6 points after each paragraph.
  • The total manuscript length should be between 15 and 35 pages, including references.
  • Headings and subheadings must be bold and follow the APA (6th Edition) formatting style.

The manuscript should include the following sections:

  • Introduction: Provides the context, background, and objectives of the study. A review of relevant literature may be included within this section.
  • Methodology: Describes the research design, data collection methods, instruments used, and sampling strategies.
  • Results: Presents findings in a logical, clear, and coherent manner using appropriate visuals where necessary.
  • Discussion: Interprets findings, connects them with prior literature, and outlines the implications of the study.
  • Conclusion: Summarizes the major insights, acknowledges limitations, and suggests areas for future research.

Note: Appendices are not permitted. All essential information should be incorporated within the main text.

Tables, Figures, and Images
  • Visual content such as tables and figures should be used only when necessary to enhance understanding.
  • All visual elements should be inserted at relevant points within the manuscript rather than submitted as separate attachments.
  • Each table and figure must be properly labeled, numbered, and referred to within the text.
  • All visual content should follow APA (6th or 7th Edition) guidelines for formatting and captioning.
References
  • All references cited in the manuscript must be included at the end of the paper in alphabetical order and formatted according to APA (6th Edition) style.
  • Every in-text citation must have a corresponding entry in the reference list, and every reference-list entry must be cited in the text.
  • References must not be included in the abstract.
  • Personal communications and unpublished data should be cited only within the text and should not be included in the reference list.
  • Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant sources to support the validity and currency of their research.
Language and Grammar
  • As a monolingual journal, IIJHMSS accepts submissions written in English only.
  • Examples and references in other languages may be included where appropriate, but the main text must be entirely in English.
  • Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are grammatically accurate and free from typographical and spelling errors.
  • First-time authors and non-native English speakers are advised to seek proofreading assistance from a qualified English-language expert before submission.
Final Note

By adhering to these guidelines, authors contribute to the efficiency of the peer-review process and help uphold the academic standards of Insights: International Journal of Humanities, Management, and Social Sciences (IIJHMSS). Manuscripts that do not follow the specified formatting, language, or citation requirements may be returned without review.
